Objective: To communicate fresh authentic Mexican food in a fun, family friendly, casual environment. With a blend of both the Hawaiian and Mexican Culture.

Solution:  I was inspired by the bright primary colors often used in the Mexican culture. I traded the bright reds, blues, greens and yellows into more of a Hawaiian Island sunshine pallet by adjusting the hues.

I also incorporated the playful patterns commonly found in traditional Mexican folk culture by changing the images in the pattern to Hawaiian plants, instantly shifting the theme to Hawaii.

The name !Hola! Was a play off of the word Aloha. Logo design, mimics the Mexican folk  art day of the dead vibe with its curly playful lines. Blending the bright island colors with traditional Mexican elements cleverly melds the two cultures together.
